Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Participates in the 2024 NCICP Conference
Brother Esset Tate, Director of Programs and Good Health WINs (GHWs) Project Manager, recently represented Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. at the 16th National Conference for Immunization Coalitions and Partnerships (NCICP). This pivotal event, boasting over 500 attendees, spotlighted crucial themes of equity, engagement, and partnerships in the realm of public health.
At the conference, a breakout session titled "Increase Your Ground Game with CBOs: Best Practices from Community Level Trusted Messengers" captivated participants with its informative discourse. Led by Mrs. Synovia Moss, the session featured esteemed members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), including Esset Tate from Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., George Fishburne from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Olivia G. White from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Antonio Martez from Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and John Burrell from Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., who brought legislative insights to the table.
This marked the second consecutive year of active participation by GHWs leadership and Project Managers in the NCICP Conference. Operating under the auspices of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), the GHWs coalition remains steadfast in its commitment to engaging and encouraging NCICP participants to forge partnerships with GHWs, centered on the betterment of communities we collectively serve.
The NCICP Conference serves as a beacon for collaboration and partnership aimed at enhancing immunization uptake, community education, and disease prevention. It provides a platform for sharing successful strategies that fortify the efforts of coalitions and partnerships across the nation.
In 2024, the conference found its home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, under the stewardship of the Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition (PAIC). This gathering not only promised enriching sessions but also offered attendees the opportunity to explore the historic city, imbued with the spirit of brotherly love and innovation.
