At the 40th Biennial International Conclave of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., we proudly welcomed a groundbreaking initiative from one of the world’s most influential companies—Amazon. Introduced during our national gathering, “In This Together” is more than just a slogan; it’s a visionary commitment to building bridges between communities and the expansive ecosystem of Amazon and its subsidiaries.

Led by dynamic thought leaders Rasheeda Liberty, MBA; Nancy Dalton, SHRM-SCP; and Shyla Martinez, the “In This Together” symposium offered an immersive and transformational experience. The initiative is rooted in three pillars critical to the growth and empowerment of our communities:

• Bridging the Tech Divide: Access to innovation and digital tools is no longer optional—it’s essential. Amazon’s resources are helping close the digital gap by empowering individuals and organizations to participate in the modern economy.

• Ensuring Food Security: Through strategic programs and partnerships, Amazon is leveraging its logistical power to support food equity initiatives and create sustainable solutions to hunger in underserved areas.

• Promoting Economic Empowerment: Whether it’s owning, selling, or supplying, brothers of Iota Phi Theta are now better equipped to explore Amazon’s platforms as entrepreneurs, vendors, or suppliers. This means real opportunities for income generation, small business growth, and long-term wealth building.

The symposium was a day of deep learning, thought leadership, and networking, providing our members with invaluable insights into how Amazon is working to uplift communities—especially those historically left out of major economic conversations.
