Emmett Till Interpretative Center Fundraiser

Our ride holds a special purpose - to raise funds for the Emmett Till Interpretative Center located in Sumner, Mississippi. This center serves as a beacon of education, remembrance, and reflection on the life of Emmett Till, a young African American whose tragic murder in 1955 became a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement.

60th Anniversary Approaches

As we approach our 60th Anniversary on September 19th, we are reminded of the importance of our history and the need to carry forward the torch of civil rights activism. It's crucial to remember that on September 15, 1963, four young Black girls lost their lives in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama. The tragic events of that day serve as a solemn reminder of the work still to be done.

'The Emmett Till Run' is more than just a ride; it's a continuation of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.'s proud history as a fraternal expression of the 20th-century civil rights movement. We are honored to be the antecedent of the 21st-century movement for social justice.
